Here's a sampling of what cookies I made for some friends for Christmas. All cookies are from Martha Stewart's Cookie book from a few years ago but the recipes are available on-line too. Starting from the top, moving clockwise is Chewy Chocolate Gingerbread Cookie. I make this one every Christmas, it's a ton of work but worth it. Next is an Oatmeal Cranberry Cookie, insanely good. Then Aunt Maggie's Jam Thumbprint Cookie. Last is Alfajores de Dulce de Leche. Instead of following Martha's dulce de leche recipe (what?) I used a very easy and mess free instructions from Wiki How, it took 4 hours to finish but is was so worth the wait. Can't wait to pour it on some ice cream.
Yeah, I need to say goodbye to sugar for a while & start thinking more about stomach crunches.
